So, I was under the impression that Norway was the land of Metal, vikings, sexy men and all that. It seems I was wrong. I have only seen one sexy man since I got here, and he was about 14 so he doesnt count. As for vikings, most of the men here look like they should be in an advert for hair bleach or shampoo or tanning salons or something! Everyone is a little bit too wholesome!

I went out to what was described as "Bergens Premier rock venue" last night. Less rock, more cheesey pop with some white stripes thrown in! And I'd had a few beers, got chatting to some guy who told me that no one really like black metal in Norway, and it was just a couple of jerks who started the whole thing and then they couldnt get rid of them. I'm guessing his opinion was a bit biased, but I was surprised.

Then I found out that I missing this big metal festival about a day after I leave bergen, DAMN!!!! Opeth are playing the day after I fly home from norway, which is crap, cuz I really wanted to see them.

I need to stop ranting! Norway is good, but cold and wet at the moment. I'm going to the aquarium later, and then maybe if its ncie I'll go up the mountain on a cable car.
